I had dreamed up my studio for years. I knew it would be all white, I planned out where everything would go. I always wanted the theme to be romantic rustic farmhouse. I honestly can’t believe it’s already come to life.

We had the frame built by an Amish company that has since gone out of business called Woodtex. It is a 16×32 shed. The outside is grey with a black metal roof. It’s the perfect size for my specialty maternity, newborn, sitter, and cake smash photography.

We had a few contractors come in and put in electric/hang the drywall. My husband painted and did spray foam insulation. When you enter its a big white room with a dainty femanine chandelier. I have a changing table for baby needs, bottle warmer, lint roller, sanitizer, and Bobby pins for last minute things you may have forgotten.

I provide all newborn wraps, bonnets, headbands, and outfits. For newborn sessions I warm the studio to 85 degrees to keep baby warm. They will be in a diaper only for the majority of the session, so the warmth is absolutely necessary. I turn off all the lights off (except my studio lights) so I have consistent lighting. I play womb sounds and white noise so babies feel like theyre right back in the womb. The sound machines also muffle the sounds of my camera shutter and people talking.

A lot of parents feel very relaxed by the end of the session since it is such a peaceful environment. Some even take a nap. I have worked really hard to create an environment that is relaxing for you and your family. It’s my goal that you are able to sit back and enjoy watching your new baby get their very first professional pictures taken (or take a much needed nap).
